A LETTER FROM BUDDY GUY

Blues music helps you laugh when you need to laugh, and helps you cry when you need to cry. It lets you express yourself and deal with your hardships.
In Chicago, many children learn of hardships at too young an age. They are without homes or family, living under the poverty level and struggling against a culture that pushes them towards drugs and violence. These children know the blues, but they don't have the music to express it themselves.
Rock For Kids gives them that music, but they can't do it without your help!
They need funds to be able to continue their music lessons. Even a $20 donation might be the chance a child has been waiting for - a chance for self expression, a chance to laugh or cry, a chance to sing the blues. Your donation can bring happiness to these kids that have so much sadness.
I've been playing the Blues here in Chicago since 1957 and I know how important it is to support the Chicago community - that's why I became an honorary Board Member of Rock For Kids. This year has been a rough year for everyone, but especially the underprivileged children of this city. That's why I'm asking you to open your hearts and your wallets, dig deep, and help me to make sure Rock For Kids gets the resources they need to continue to bring not only music, but also hope and inspiration, to the children who need it most.
Thanks,
Buddy Guy
