Rock For Kids (formerly Christmas Is For Kids) began as a holiday fundraising effort in 1988. RFK was born out of the desire of staff at JAM Productions, Ltd. to give something back to the community by utilizing the vast resources available as the largest midwest music promoter. What emerged was the Rock 'N' Roll Charity Auction, now in its fourteenth year. The first effort netted $15,000 for six facilities; today Rock For Kids supports children in over 30 area shelters and programs. In 2000 CIFK expanded its mission to include its newest program Youth Jam - which brings music education to underprivileged children.
